A sought-after banknote, like all banknotes of the Gole of Danzig in decent states of preservation. In circulation from 21.03.1923 to September 1923 where it was replaced by guilder currency. Compositionally similar to the 1000 marks 1922 (Miłczak G3), however, here instead of a dry seal we have an imprint of the seal of the Senate of the Free City of Gdańsk, as well as the numbering on the banknote, unlike its predecessor, is marked once. The banknote has an interesting anti-counterfeiting feature, i.e. an overprint has been applied in the form of the inscription STADTDANZIGSTADT.... from the ink, which penetrated through the paper to the reverse side, as well as being the first banknote of the WMG branded currency to have a watermark.
