One of the most difficult to obtain branded banknotes of the Free City.
Very difficult to acquire especially in such a beautiful state of preservation.
The banknote was in PMG grading with a grade of AU58, now removed from the holder, the label preserved.
We were familiar with the piece before the grading and decided to take it out considering the grade as unfair. Examining the bill carefully, on all sides, we do not find any deflection in the field. However, there is a production wrinkle in the field of the bill (~3 cm long), and the right corners are broken, including the top one deeper where the break line enters the frame. Two spots of tarnishing on the reverse, otherwise no comments.
According to our assessment, the state of preservation is level 1-.
Banknote in circulation from 24.08.1923 to 19.09.1923 (withdrawn by Senate decision). It was created by overprinting in dark blue the denomination of 1 million marks, on the banknote of 50 thousand marks on 20.03.1923, due to galloping inflation.
