Max Donnebauer (1838-1888), according to J. Strzalkowski: "Creator of a large collection of about 7,000 coins of Bohemia and neighboring countries created in Prague, between 1868 and 1888.... collection ... with numerous Polish numismatic coins."
Auction catalog of the sale of only the Polish part of the Donnebauer collection.
The sale completed at the auction house of Adolph Weyl, in 1884, in Berlin.
The catalog includes 802 items, ranging from the early Middle Ages to the mid-19th century, with the main focus on royal Poland.
Neatly calligraphed by hand, in fine handwriting, the resulting prices next to the items.
Pieces from the library of W. Chominski, with his dry ownership stamp imprinted in the upper corner of the title page. On the inside cover a pencil annotation "Piece of the late Wysocki".
Uniform binding in marbled paper, with decorative title paste-down on first page.
Inside, minor damage to the upper right corner of most pages or, as in the case of the title page, to the entire upper margin, but in our opinion not unsightly and not affecting the utility value of the item.
Very rare catalog - this is the first time we see it in the trade.
External format 227 x 153 mm.
