An important item, especially for collectors and researchers interested in gold numismatics.
Compiled and published in 1784 - this piece is an old reprint, from 1904, Bonn - it is a supplement to Köhler's previously published work "Vollständiges Ducaten-Cabinet." It contains an index with brief descriptions of 1,620 gold coins - ducats and goldgulden, including 700 not described in Köhler's earlier work.
Attractive, or even fascinating, because of the extensive list of Polish ducats included.
The Polish section is pages 55-61, items 376-416, i.e. 41 mainly very rare and unique Polish ducats, e.g. 1765 of Stanislaw August Poniatowski, 3-dukatta 1533 (!) of Sigismund I the Old (a type not known at all today); rare Lithuanian ducats of Zg. II Augustus 1563 and 1567.... and in fact, in which king we do not look in this catalog / inventory, we find rarities of the highest rarity.
An old reprint from 1904, published in Bonn.
The interior (block) of the edition in practically perfect condition with no damage, separated from the binding and coverstocks. Peelings crumbled (acid paper period); those not glued to the cover damaged - for possible restoration. Cover is marbled cloth in combination with painted cloth, in overall good condition, omitting separately from the block.
A great rarity, despite being a reprint from 1904, we found only one listing of this item at Polish auctions.
Condition, despite the separation of the block from the cover, usefully good and acceptable even without making repairs.
