An interesting exchange of correspondence between two numismatists, from the fall of 1868.
One of the writers is Rev. Ignacy Polkowski, author, among others, of a study published in 1876, Excavation of Medieval Polish Coins in Głębokie.
A total of two letters included.
Written in legible handwriting and interesting in content. The collectors share comments on the latest forgeries, listing what has appeared, the means of distribution and consider how to deal with it. Among the forgeries listed are the 1535 Ducat, and the 1568(!) Lithuanian portugal.
Both letters on letterheads with dry seals.
Good states of preservation.
