The most complete and best catalog of Polish banknotes - a publication that goes beyond the framework of a typical catalog study, constituting a handy encyclopedia of knowledge about Polish paper money.
Looking through the catalog, it is impossible to have any reservations about it. It is well thought out on all sides, with a clear, transparent and consistent layout. All official issues of Polish banknotes starting from the Kościuszko Insurrection are described. The description of the banknotes includes their dimensions, colors and describes the graphic depictions of the obverse and reverse, along with a description of the printing techniques used. The place of printing and, if possible, the designer were given. The banknote's numbering and watermarks are described, and the people signed on the banknote are listed by name. The time of being in circulation is given, and in the notes to each item we additionally find information about patterns, mintages, forgeries and possibly other interesting facts.
Included are banknotes that were printed to be put into circulation, but which were never put into circulation (such as the 1939 issue of the Polish Government in Exile). In addition, banknotes of the Free City of Danzig, the Lodz Ghetto, the German occupation authorities for the Eastern territories (Ost), and PKO and Baltona vouchers from 1960-79 are cataloged.
