A very rare variety with a shortened form of the obverse legend: REG instead of REGIS.
This is the first issue of the crown half-penny of Alexander Jagiellon. The first type with a shortened form of REG' of the word REGIS. This issue was preceded by very rare half-pennies with flower-shaped rosettes in place of the initial cross. This issue has a high silver content, which was confirmed by a series of spectrometric studies. - Information based on research by W. Borowski and M. Poznański.
Nice, although deficient centrally.
