A very rare vintage of Sasa double-dollar coins.
Second time in our offer, in our more than 20-year history.
The vintage being a commemoration of the war between Prussia and Saxony of Augustus III Saxony, known as the Seven Years' War. An economic war that turned into a real conflict in August 1756, one of the consequences of which was the intensification of Frederick II's counterfeiting activities. After the mints were taken over by the Prussians, they continued their activities, profiting from minting coins under the Polish stamp, which were reduced in bullion purity as the war progressed. Most often these were orthos. Two-zloty coins are among the great rarities.
The so-called "efraimek". An issue named after Efraim Brenn, a Berlin entrepreneur who leased the Leipzig mint after it was taken over. Called by Kalkowski directly -"a particularly wretched creature."
