A very rare variety of royal denarius.
Distinguished both by the cut of the ruler's portrait and by an unprecedented mark in the field, behind the head - the letter Z in mirror image (instead of normally).
A variety not described in Kopicki or Stronczynski, among others. In Corpus Nummorum Poloniae we find an engraving with a reversed Z, but this is a different variety.
It is the first time in our offer.
The royal denarius is an issue minted between 1076 and 1079, whose character is emphasized by the crown on the monarch's head.
Very nice state of preservation.
Silver, diameter ~13 mm, weight 0.58 g.
