A very rare variety of the first type of denarii of Boleslaw the Bold (princely, with a representation of the ruler on horseback).
Distinguished by three balls behind the rider's head and one below it.
Also distinctive for its different style: very narrow shield, large simplified head, lack of a clearly raised border.
A variety absent from, among others, the famous medieval collection from our 10th auction.
Silver, diameter 14 mm, weight 0.45 g.
