Obverse: royal bust in laurel wreath and armor, above arabesques. In the rim:
HENRICVS III D G FRANCORVM ET POL REX (Henry III by God's grace king of Fration and Poland).
Reverse: figure of the king on horseback modeled after Alexander of Macedon. In the rim:
IMAGO TALIS ALEXADRI TIGRIN SVPERANTIS (This is how Alexander crossed the Tigris).
