In 1652, the mintmaster at the West Friesland mint changed. The presented coin is the last date known from a relatively large mintage. From the next year, the amount of ducats minted was significantly reduced, and after 1655, when the mint moved from Enkhuizen to Medemblik, almost all dates are rare.
A specimen in mint condition, rarely seen with such clearly minted details of the knight. Lots of mint luster. Punctuation error – an extra dot in PROVIN on the reverse.
