A beautiful piece of Nike 1932 - an unquestionable rarity.

A natural piece, in the patina of an old collection, with mint luster peeking out from under it. Extensively discussed in the video accompanying the auction.

Date typeface, as well as other features of this vintage preserved (more on them in the GNDM blog article).

The rarest circulating coin of the Second Republic, which, despite a theoretically high mintage, in reality practically did not enter circulation, since in 1932 the parity of silver circulating coins was changed and with this date 5 gold coins of a new type, smaller and lighter - containing less silver - were introduced into actual circulation. J. Chalupski in "Specialized Catalogue of Polish Coins" part II writes:
"After this issue was withdrawn from circulation, the Warsaw mint melted 22.8 million five-gold coins out of a total mintage of 26.7 million. The vast majority of coins from the 1932 mintage were melted, hence its great rarity and high market quotations...".
