A very nice penny. Reverse with preserved mint luster.
Olkusz minted pennies for only two years during the reign of Sigismund III, focusing production on outright mass minting of trojaks. In the second year of minting, it continued the style adopted in 1593, minting pennies with a bust of the king in an orifice and armor, and placing the Sunflower and Jug marks on the obverse.
A variety with a bust of the king in armor and a titulature ending in LIT.
