The most beautiful denarius of this very rare type we have seen.
Beautifully preserved, with surface silvering and luster.
A wonderful piece.
One-sided denarii in Wschowa were minted in only two vintages. Their issuance began in 1608, based on Laffert's agreement with the city authorities of August 25, and already in 1610 the mint returned to two-sided denarii. Their issuance was geared toward trade with Silesia, where one-sided halers were being minted at the time.
The type without date numerals - referred to by Kopicki as R6. Highly valued by Tyszkiewicz, especially for this small coin.
