First vintage of a new type of Danzig ducats.
Rare and very nicely preserved. Coin ex. NGC with information plugged (pierced), but with no visible, clear mark. Lots of natural mint luster, only with visible tarnishing on the obverse side, above the king's crown. Very nice detail.
Distinguished by the bust of the king in armor decorated with a lion's head and the new reverse (with lions en face, rather than looking at each other).
A variation with an additional branch above the shield and an inner obverse band of pearls and beads.
Issued at the time of Jan Goebel's mint administration, with his ring placed on the reverse.
Gold, diameter 22 mm, weight 3.45 g.
