A very rare gold award medal from the Leopold era.
Beautiful condition. Preserved medal mirror, with light rubbing. Very good detail.
On the reverse side engraved dedication to the tanner from Bastogne, who in September 1833, at the risk of his life, extracted a young girl from a very deep well, for which he received this gold medal.
Complete with original box. Very good condition, only a torn part connecting the lid to the base (with a small tear).
