Jedna z ikon mennictwa Mikołaja II.

Nieobecny w wielu zaawansowanych zbiorach, dużej rzadkości rubel pamiątkowy wybity w 200-lecie bitwy morskiej pod Gangutem.

To ostatnia pamiątkowa moneta carskiej Rosji. Zaprojektowana przez Piotra Stadnickija, medaliera mennicy petersburskiej. Wybita dla upamiętnienia przyjęcia do służby pancerników typu Gangut (Гангут) w roku 1914, nazwanych na cześć słynnej wygranej rosyjskiej floty w Wielkiej Wojnie Północnej (bitwy pod Gangutem).
